Mercedes-Benz warranties

Buying a low mileage diesel E280 Mercedes from a franchised dealer in 2010, I took out a two year warranty from Mercedes Benz UK.

I later found that there are 28 categories of items on the car excluded from the warranty, for example the engine and drive line mountings, all cables and hoses, and glow plugs.

When a plug failed recently I got a bill for £184 including diagnosis. That means that the cost of replacing all six plugs will approach £1000. And this for a 47,000 mile car used mainly on the motorways. The poor warranty and the high charge seem outrageous to me. What do you think please?

Totally useless. You can probably get your money back on the grounds that the warranty is worthless, then use the money to buy something better from www.warrantydirect.co.uk But that can;t fully kick in for 90 days.
