The dealer replaced my faulty parking sensors but didn't paint them, should I complain?

We bought a used Volvo V40 from a national dealer.

After picking up the car we noticed that the rear parking sensors were faulty and notified the dealer accordingly. We were asked to return the car for diagnosis and it was confirmed the sensors required replacement. After much chasing and excuses the car was eventually booked in to have the work carried out after almost 3 months.

The car has been returned with working sensors, however unlike the ones that were removed they have not been colour coded so we have black sensors against a grey bumper.

Is it reasonable to expect the sensors to be colour coded or the fact that they now has the dealer fulfiller their obligation to?

After waiting so long for the work to be done I had an expectation that they would be perfect and I'm disappointed at the end result.

Although it is disappointing that the dealer has not colour-coded the new parts, it is arguable that they have fulfilled their obligation by replacing them. Ultimately it is a matter of how you wish to proceed - if you wish to pursue them to paint the new parking sensors they may be reluctant or outright refuse, and it may take some time for the work to be carried out if they agree. Alternatively you could pay to have them painted, paint them yourself or leave them as they are.
