I need a comfortable, reliable, automatic car - should I buy an EV?
I require an automatic car because of knee problems. My annual mileage is around 6,000 miles a year. Is now the time to go all electric? I also have solar panels - is this beneficial? How do you advise charging the car?

Now is probably a very good time to go electric, providing you have the ability to charge at home to reduce reliance on expensive and sometimes unreliable public charging networks. With more and more EVs able to complete 200+ mile trips on a single charge you'll find one charge a week or less would be enough for your needs.
We'd recommend looking into the costs and viability of installing a 7kW wallbox at home, otherwise, you'll be relying on slower charging from a domestic outlet which takes days to charge a modern EV. Having solar panels will reduce your bills when charging, particularly in these sunnier months.
