Higher cars

I am looking to replace my ageing 2000X Ford Focus with an auto that has a higher driving position. I have looked at the Honda CR-V, Nissan Qashqai and Ford C-Max. Any other ideas or suggestions as to which is best and where else I should be looking please?

The CR-V is a real comfort zone and a very pleasant way to travel. Ford now offers its Powershift box in the C-Max diesel, equivalent of
VAG's DGS, and, so far, smoother shifting and more reliable. Qashqais come with a CVT with petrol engines and a torque converter auto with diesels. Avoid silly wheels on the Qashqai. 17" and 18" wheels ruin the ride and the car’s otherwise excellent ability to absorb potholes and pothills.
