  Can anyone explain to me what the little red panel on my cd/radio is. It looks like an infra red sensor for a remote control or something but my dealer assures me not. Can someone explain this please (not having the manual doesn't help). Thanks.

  I have a 1995 Ford Escort 1.6 LX. The radio cassette has a backlit LCD display. Well, rather, it had, as the bulb has gone so at night-time, I can't read the display. Does anyone know if this is easily replaced? Thanks Dave
