Ford focus 1.6 2006 - Radio serial number - vinolia

Good day

I have a 1.6 Ford focus mk 2. The battery was removed and I don't have the radio code nor the radio removal pins.

I read a few comments suggesting I try holding down 1 and 6 (this just comes up with a zero, as though I'm entering a digit) I also tried 1 and 5 as well as 2 and 5, but with 5 being the code confirmation key it accepts the attempts as code inputs.

Please help.

You need to turn your radio off, hold down Buttons 2 and 5 (or 1 and 6) together and then turn the radio on. It should scroll through a number of different numbers but, eventually, should give you a six-digit number beginning with either an "M" or a "V".

Failing that, just obtain a pair of radio removal tools, pull the radio out a couple of inches from the dashboard, and read the serial number from the white label stuck onto the radio's outer casing.

From some trawling on the internet, I suggest you try:

Hold down buttons 6 and 1, and then release 6 (keep 1 pressed).

Hold down 2 and 6.

If no joy, you will have to bite the bullet and remove the radio - or at least pull it forward a bit. There should be a label with M or V followed by six (occasionally seven) digits.
