Does a hybrid have to be driven everyday to prevent the battery going flat?
I’m due to take delivery of a new Lexus LBX in early March, since doing some research of this car it seems there is a problem regarding the 12v battery, the battery it’s supplied with doesn’t seem to be powerful enough and often requires a trickle charger, when I queried the salesman he told me they sell a solar powered trickle charger although if I drive it every day I should be fine. I would value your opinion and your advice.

The information provided by the dealer is broadly correct, in that some hybrid owners have found that without regular use the 12V battery can become drained, but trickle charging is a simple solution to this. It is a matter of considering your personal circumstances and whether your current vehicle use may mean that trickle charging is required.
