  A family member is considering buying a 2-3 yr old used Volvo S60 D5. Has anyone had any experiences of these cars, or the V70 estate equivalent ? I would be grateful for feedback on economy, reliability, durability and dealers in particular.

  Car is 3.5 year old and done 58000 and has dropped a valve. Dealers say never heard of this happening before. Options are new engine ( £3500 ) or re-build. Am considering re-manufactured engine but replacement heads are apparently in short supply. Any suggestions / recommendations

  The airbag warning light on my recently acquired 3 year old Prodder Kelisa auto has started to come on at odd times. Does any one know of a recall about airbags on these cars or can advise what may be going on? Thanks

  I'm considering an 03 Octavia TDi with 127,500 miles on the clock. Am I being silly? It does seem a lot of miles for a 3 year old car, but if its been well maintained and looked after then why shouldn't it be OK? Any ideas/comments?

  I had my old peugeot valeted today prior to selling it. The guy who did the work mentioned that for new cars they do a service/product called "Autosmart Silver Seal Protection" to protect the paintwork and interior fabrics. Anyone think this is worth doing ?

  Can any S-type owners out there give me a 'realistic' idea of the cost of running one of these fine motor cars please? The one I am on the verge of purchasing is an 18 month old, 31000 mile specimen. Any advice is most welcome (sarcastic or not!)

  Having owned my car from new and expect to change when 4 years old having done 180 000 miles, will I get a better trade in or resale price from having a main dealer service history, or am I just wasting money?

  Help, anybody reccommend a supermini size (eg Corsa) car fitted with AC. Petrol or diesel. Preferably benifitting from low insurance rates and tax. Prefer a 2 to 4 year old buy but will consider new. Prehaps Honest John has an opinion? Thanks Blade

  Right here goes: I bought a car from a dealer on 14/10/2006 it was a mere 2.5 years old. I signed the paperwork for the V5 (which I never personally received after). The car had 12 months tax - becomes important. At this time I had two cars including the new one. The old one had to be scrapped

  Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I am legally required to disclose an engine rebuild that was carried out under warranty if selling my car to a garage? The car has since had a couple of services and has had no problems since, it's not been in an accident and is only 2years old.

  The removable right side boot panel in my car seems to have lost the ability to close the catch and stay in place. I can see no obvious way of accessing the fixings on it and wondered if this was a replacement part. The car is less than 3 years old - would this be covered on warranty
