  Hi ive just changed my waterpump on my Rover 214si N reg and as far as im aware ive lined all the timing marks up correctly ie:exhauste pully pointing towards inlet pully and locked them in place with locking tool, ive also lined flywheel pully up with the oil pump marking which is about 1 ocklock

  Posted around a week ago re: Focus TDDi, about to do a deal on the car, had a car inspection report that indicated a possible oil leak that requires investigation. The franchised dealer that we're buying it off has seen the report and serviced the car, and says it has attended to any problems found

  Long story behind this one! My sister forgot to put the oil filler cap back on her 1996 GM 1.7 diesel, and consequently the oil drained out and the car overheated and stopped on a steep hill. Trailered home where I refilled with fresh oil and surprisingly, it ran fine, although a bit tappetty

  change. I took it up with the service manager at the time and he turned off the computer and they did the oil and air filter -also not due according to the computer but due in the service plan. I am amazed that with Honda and their dealers reputation for sevice that such a fundamental mismatch is allowed

  , tensioner and idler pulley renewed at the same ford dealer I asked today in May 07 and had done about 15k miles since do you think this is the likely cause ? Also I have posted other questions concerning an oil change I had done last November when they put 10w-40 oil in. Like I said I went back

  have caused the intial problem, but I need to check with the VW specialist and also could this have caused the wear on the cylinder?? If so do you think the large company should change my oil to the correct stuff for free?

  Anyone changed the heat exchanger water pipe that goes from the water pump to the heat exchanger itself (by the oil filter) ? Not the return that goes into the rad. Wondered how difficult it is. I've got a leak !

  The 2001 Audi A4 is a clever car it tells on the display(spanner icon) the time/miles to its next service. But how does it know when oil, filters, brake fluid etc., have been changed? And what does it mean when the display shows 'dashes' for time and miles not any figures? Brian

  Has anyone used this product before or can recommend something else. My gearbox on a 306 xtdt '94, having covered 100k is a little 'stiff', especially when cold. I intend to change the transmission oil and at the same time use an additive. Any advice appreciated. Regards Craig

  Got an annoying problem with a P reg Lada Samara 44000miles. Every forward gear has no problem but perhaps half the times put into reverse crunches. Has done this for a few months and the clutch appears to be fine as is okay in forward gears. What kind of problem is it? Could a gearbox oil change

  with her to collect it from the Garage this morning and the bill came to £362 inc vat for a new clutch inc thrust bearing. Old plate was almost down to rivets..was the original according to the mechanic. Excellent local indy also changed the sludge that was supposed to be gearbox oil

  (fuel filter, oil filter) etc. I suspect the injectors are due for changing - I have read that they usually need changing between 60,000 and 80,000 miles. My car has done about 93k. Does this sound like an injector problem? Are there any tips or tricks to be aware of when changing the injectors

  I would like advice about car services. I have a Micra year 2000, which I have had for 2 years. I have always just got 6 monthly oil changes, replaced the air filter and spark plugs myself, carried out the rest of the basic checks and had things like brake fluid and coolant changed when required

  and when it should be done. Also is it something I should just leave a Rover dealership to do or something that a half decent Diesel Service centre should be able to handle (cheaper). I also see that the service intervals are 12000miles. Should I change to the oil every 6000miles though ? Cheers
