Toyota Auris Touring Sports - Rear mounted cycle carrier 28 Jul 2015 (Forum)
I'd like to fit a rear mounted cycle carrier on my Toyota Auris touring sport hybrid- Toyota quote £840 , £840 for a 2 cycle rear mount. Is there another solution ? I'm assuming that because my car isn't designed to tow, there maybe no towbar bracket etc -
Two flat tyres due to pothole - what to do? 1 Apr 2014 (Forum)
Edge of carriageway was damaged, and the car suffered two flat tyres (both passenger-side tyres) They are brand new ~£110 tyres (fitted last week). Car was towed home. Not sure if the tyres would be a write-off? How do I tell? Is it worth getting the car checked out -
Motoring under the Tories - will it be better? 14 Oct 2008 (Forum)
Will life for the motorist improve if the tories get elected and stay in power for a good decade like labour? Will there be a return to lower fuel taxes, more road building, fairer VED and less gatsos? Or are they just going to tow the 'green' line like all the other misguided, gullible -
Nissan Tino 2.2 Diesel - Good? 12 Feb 2007 (Forum)
Hello all, I' m considering a Nissan Tino 2.2 diesel as a relaible, no nonsense, no fuss, get in and go, carry the baby gear, carry the mountain bikes, tow the trailer, a2b mobile. Fancied the Toyota Verso, but at pushing 3k more for the same plate I backed off. Any comments on the Tino? Cheers -

Wrong fuel! 31 Jul 2004 (Forum)
My beloved just put some diesel in her Mazda, and while waiting for the tow truck, we got to wondering if topping up the tank with petrol (which would dilute it more than 2:1) would be survivable. One garage man says it would, and the other says definitely not! I think it would be OK, but I'd get -
Paul Ripley is right 7 Nov 2003 (Forum)
Yesterday, in an unfamiliar area, I got stuck in a bus lane. I saw a space to my right and eased gently over to it. The guy behind was so determined not to let me in that he accelerated and hit the car in front of him. Fortunately (!) this was fitted with a tow bar. What fun. No serious damage -
Corsa 1.2 16v DOHC 17 Aug 2003 (Forum)
Nice car, but it doesn't seem to like long journeys. After 25 50 miles it runs really rough and the engine management light comes on. Attempt to restart produces high revving. Once towed home the car starts and runs perfectly. Vaux tried a new EGR valve, but hasn't worked. Anyone got any ideas -
VW Polo - known problem? 21 Feb 2003 (Forum)
Anyone know about this please? Three year old Polo, 16k miles. Clutch pedal collapsed to the floor with bits of white plastic in the footwell. Had to be towed off Motorway to VW dealer. Arrived in dark so couldn't work out what happened. VW dealer looking at it next week. Last week the stop light -

Land Rover Defender (1946 - ) - Land Rover or other 4X4 for a smallholding? 27 Sep 2009 (Forum)
research in advance, to get an idea of costs. One of the many issues I'm checking is vehicles. My current car is a 5yo Nissan Almera automatic, which is a great car for my current suburban existence but ill-suited to agricultural use -- because it's lousy at towing any sort of weight, and has little load -
