  • Irrational fondness 21 Jul 2008 (Forum)

Bought a year old car last year, that had covered  9,000 miles. The previous owner was a lady who traded it in after only owning it for just over eleven months. Why would anyone keep a car for just 11 months, must have lost a fortune? Curious if anyone here traded in a nearly

  • Stop/Start Cars 8 Dec 2009 (Forum)
I was always under the impression that with a Turbo Diesel car (possibly petrol turbo too) that before switching off the car you let it idle a while to prevent turbo wear. Will this issue have been addressed by manufacturers of Stop/Start cars or will we see a high number of turbo failures

You go to a show with classic cars and one of them is a 1990 XR3i cabriolet! Of more interest was a 1965 Anglia. The car had been owned by the same couple for almost 40 years, then the owner died and his wife became too ill to drive and it was sold to the present owner. Mileage was 46,500

I have been looking at cars on ebay and autotrader and some of them having done up to 90k miles can be described as "mint". Is this possible? Surely even a 6 month old car will have at least a few stonechips? Have they just called the chips away folks and then described it as mint?
