Easiest car to repair and sell - marksal

What is the easiest car to repair and sell afterwards. ( not to old and can turn a few bucks)

I brought a mini and repaired this, it all unbolted and was easy to work on. When it came to selling there was good interest. Are ther other cars/makes like this?? Unbolt wing, bolt a new one on, type of car?

Cheer, for any advise!

There are many. Jags are a good bet choose your make and model. Parts cheap and plenty full.

Land Rovers Defenders and their predecessors are the ultimate bolt together car. Parts are quite cheap, or they were last time I checked.

Most cars when they reach the end of their lives only have a scrap value, but worn out Land Rovers still have a 'project' value and so tend to be a bit more expensive.

Ford Ka

Notorious for rusting, which isn't easily fixed (unless you are a skilled welder)

Ignoring classic car financial appreciation (which can be significant)

I’ve restored/built many a car over the years - With just buying a car, fettling it a bit and expecting to make a lot of money is difficult.

You will find that most “little” repairs will be much worse than you expect (tip of the iceberg) needing many more parts than you expect and need many hours /day/weeks/months of work

Landrovers mentioned above are indeed very easy to bolt/unbolt BUT those parts add up and rust can be a problem - project/labour of love rather than money maker

Yup, watching a few episodes of Wheeler Dealers bears this out!

My cousin makes a good living reshelling cars. Last time I spoke to him, he'd just done a 2-week old 7 series that had been rolled.

It helps that his father owns a BMW approved repairer.

Apart from the engine/gearbox he does most of the rest himself. He has a photographic memory, and as long as he's the one who stripped the old car, he knows instinctively where everything goes.
