2013 VW Tiguan Fourmotion - 20k miles - Loud knocking after gearbox re-fit 21 Jul 2016 (Forum)
Bit of a strange one this guys, but appreciate any advice. Had the gearbox taken out of our 4x4 Tiguan last week, dismantled, refurrbed, and put back together – under warranty – due to a hole in the casing, spewing oil all over the road and DMF! Last few days it’s driven perfectly again, until -
Any - Tough used petrol Estate options? 30 Oct 2015 (Forum)
which are niggling me. A persistent transmission whine at 50mph is noticeable, quite a few rattles and squeaks, a bit of clutch judder when cold, plus reading of this BXE being a bit weak in the con rod/big end bearing department, turbos packing in, DMFs at a grand a go. All this is making me think -

Any - Most reliable car/cheapest to run to high mileage? 4 Apr 2012 (Forum)
: £1,000 - DMF/Clutch £600 - turbo £500 - injector service So the idea that diesel's are great & cheap to run is nonsense - great on a company car/3 years, not for private use over an extended time. And I'm lucky I don't have a DPF, and my EGR valve is OK. So -
Ford Mondeo 2.2 TDCiGhia (06) - Advice wanted -had car 5 weeks and clutch is going 24 Aug 2011 (Forum)
yet but I'm pretty sure the mechanic will say the clutch and/or DMF will need replacing. Not that I'm a pessimist or anything... Am I right in thinking that the dealer I bought the car from should get this fixed for me, under Sale of Goods Act? If so, am I also right -
Can people drive competently any more? 26 Jun 2009 (Forum)
cost of DMF's is something to do with this, we've all seen white van man (among others but he's a prime example) riding the clutch at uphill junctions or in traffic....seemingly incapable of proper vehicle control without abuse, i suppose the hill hold will save the poor dear struggling with that pesky -
