  I hear that shortly, lead weights will not be allowed for balancing wheels (obviously only when changing tyres). Is this true? If so it is nice to know that the European parliament is so concerned for our health.

  I have an M reg Fiesta that has recently broken down on the motorway. The RAC came out to fix it and said my alternator needed replacing which has been done. The car still won't start, on another call out to the RAC they say it is the lead that connects the alternator to the battery

  Why are HT leads not a service item? Had the Mondeo (1999, 50k miles) serviced on Saturday and mentioned to the man at the garage that starting on wet, cold mornings has been a bit hesitant. He changed the leads and it's different altogether. Runs smoother and picks up better as well

  Hi all I have undertaken some DIY work in an attempt to stop the misfiring on my MX6. This morning I changed the HT Leads. i think I have done it correclty, but when I took the dissy ends off I forgot to check which end for 5 and 3 go in which socket on the dissy. I have swapped them

  A quick question: If a set of ignition leads with a specified resistance of 5K Ohms, all increase to 6K Ohms would this be enough to stop the engine starting when cold, but perhaps keep a hot engine running? Thanks in advance
