  • Leon TDI - NSF Tyre Wear 2 Jan 2005 (Forum)
before the other tyres on the car. The rear tyres wear evenly, as does the front drivers side. Currenly on Dunlop SP Sport 01's, previously on Pirelli P6000, Eagle NCT's, B F Goodrich Touring and Yokohama A301, all of which were correctly balanced and aligned, but wore in the same way. The steering
  • Volvo XC90 - Rear Shocker ! 4 Nov 2011 (Forum)
Just found out we need new rear shock absorbers for our 2007 XC 90 (75,000 miles). Volvo are asking £884.40 for the parts and £110 labour. Given this is an important job, is this a fair price to pay? And, having just had a 4 x wheel alignment last month, due new tyres
  • Ford Fiesta (2000 - 2002) - 01 1.3 New tyres 19 Jun 2008 (Forum)
Hi I've decided to get 4 new continental eco contact 3 tyres fitted as the ones I currently have on are worn. Is £180 for fitting balancing etc including VAT a good price for these? I'm impressed with the reviews of these tyres. Getting a family friend to do the alignment at a later date. Thanks
  • Vectra front bumper removal - 2000 model 23 Sep 2003 (Forum)
Anyone know how to remove one, or more to the point where the fixing screws/bolts are? I hit a rabbit a while ago and ever since then the bumper has been slightly out of alignment with the nearside wing and also a bit wobbly. I'm might selling the car shortly and don't really want to go
  • steering wheel not dead centre 7 Mar 2003 (Forum)
Iv'e just had the front wheel alignment adjusted on my car and the steering wheel is a little bit off centre, not very much and I could live with it. I understand that this often happens and it's just a bit annoying, but is it ok and not a sign of the tracking or anything not been done correctly

  • BMW 3 Series - BMW 320d front outer edge tyre wear? 30 Oct 2022 (Forum)
The front outer edge of the tyres on my BMW 320d are wearing. All other tyres are in good condition. The front are also in good condition it's only the outer edge of them that has worn. I've heard that this might be caused by wheel alignment. BMW use KDS but can this be sorted using Hunter?

  • Renault Scenic (2003 - 2009) - 06 2.0T Camber Angle 6 May 2008 (Forum)
Hi there, second post this week!! My scenic is causing me more problems, YET AGAIN!!! My N/S tyre is scrubbing on the outside edge, i'm guessing that there is a suspension mis-alignment, probably caused by me hitting a badger the other week. I was just wondering, is the camber angle adjustable
  • Attempted break-in 30 Oct 2006 (Forum)
Noticed the car was a bit noisy last week , like the door wasn't shut properly. On closer inspection, I found the front passenger door way out of alignment and a number of marks in the paint where someone had obviously tried to lever open the door at the top . Is this a tried and tested way
  • Corolla uneven rear tyre wear 28 Sep 2006 (Forum)
2001 1.4 model. The rear passenger side tyre wears on both shoulders in the same way as if it is overinflated. It is not and the tyre on the drivers rear side wears normally. This means a rear passengers side tyre lasts about 10k miles. However I have has the alignment checked and they can find
  • mend the roads! 11 Apr 2006 (Forum)
Now that the new tax year has started, i hope that my local District Council will find it within themselves to authorise PROPER repair to 12 miles of A417 east of Cirencester. The surface and general condition of the carriageway is deplorable. Having had to re-align my suspension again i'm not best
  • MOT Failure Question 29 Jan 2004 (Forum)
Hi BR's, I have a Mondeo, 1994 L, that has failed the MOT on headlight alignment due to the tester not being able to "get a pattern" from the headlight. I have never heard this before, I was told that this is caused by the headlight turning yellow inside, or condensation, or something wrong
  • headlights (again!) 20 Jan 2002 (Forum)
After all your help last week I have upgraded bulbs from standad to the Philips ones which give a "whiter" light and I can now see the road.
