I recently changed both the alternator and starter motor on my Rover 214i and now my car won't stop running, even when I take the key out of the ignition or take the battery off. The only thing that turns the car off is switching the headlights on. Any suggestions as to what might be the problem
  • Rover 200 and 400 (1989 - 1996) - 91 1.6 hot restart 29 Sep 2008 (Forum)
Our 216 frequently won't restart when it's a bit warm. If you do a decent run and it gets hot it will restart ok, but a short run almost guarantees hassle--it will fire up then die immediately. If we wait a couple of minutes it will run again. It's a real pain at the pumps!!! It can't be too serious
