Overall reliability

An outstanding car that is very under estimated in many of the reviews I have read.

This car was bought at a few months old to replace our 2012 BMW 320d series 6. We have now owned the Volvo for nearly three years and over 24000 miles. It has been totally reliable with no squeaks, creaks or rattles.I am very impressed with the performance and economy of the D4 Diesel engine. The car came with a lot of extras that we just now expect other cars to have. The heated windscreen, folding mirrors and heated leather seats are really great. The build quality is clear once the door is opened. The soft dense dashboard, alloy metal surrounds and textured metal central console are just class. The engine is quiet once cruising and emits a lovely growl when extended over 4000 revs. It will pull up to 5000 revs but with 400 Nm of torque it is only necessary to extend the engine occasionally usually changing at 2000 revs to make rapid progress. This is a twin turbo engine and pulls smoothly and very strongly from tick over and this allows you to set off cleanly in second gear from walking pace. The quality of the car is clear from the consistent and narrow shut lines.
This car represents outstanding value secondhand.
