Good - apart from fuel consumption.
For a 1.6 litre diesel performance is good, I find the gear lever a little too far back and can only muster 53mpg on general motoring. The car replaced a Renault Clio 1.5Dci which regularly managed 65mpg and on a long run even managed 78mpg. The C30 has managed 66mpg on the trip computer, but this reduced to 62mpg on a full tank to full tank basis, filled at the same pump after 475 miles.
