Volvo C30 (2010 - 2013)
C30 2.0 R-Design Lux
Petrol is the way forward, forget diesel
I traded in a Drive R-design for a facelift petrol 2.0 R-Design Lux, and what a smile it put on my face.
I went for the limited Rebel Blue colour which really suits the shape of the car, and the Lux extras such as Sat Nav, LED running lights, enhanced sound system and Sports chassis really enhance the cars desirability.
I have only done 1000 miles so far, but thats 999 more than I needed to confirm that the petrol version is a much nicer car to drive than the Drive diesel.
The interior is the same as the last one, but with all black/charcol grey seats, a vast improvement on the olf R-Design cream and grey. Much more practical with a young daughter and classier looking.
I like the LED running lights but wish that they could be used as fog lights too. Also strange that the rear lights do not come on when the LEDs are on. So far the auto switching between headlights and running lights has been good. The automatic windscreen wipers are maybe not so good! They seem to be extremely erratic in there "sensing" of rain, this morning they were wiping a clear screen at double speed but last night in heavy rain they tried to wipe once every 5 or 6 seconds meaning I had to manually turn the wipers on to get a clear screen.
I had originally gone to buy the new V40, but decided the C30 was still a better looking car.
