Das Auto...?

Easily the best VW I've ever had (8 owned). The car (Das Auto) is a great all rounder, looks superb, good boot, quick enough, handles brilliantly, comfortable, economical (av 48MPG), only one warranty issue for a rattling bake pipe. Cheap to maintain too: After almost 40,000 miles: 4 tyres, 1 wiper blade, original brakes, 2 services & no additional oil needed between services. OK, only 4 seats but that's OK for me. My only gripe is with the new (2013) model, VW has swapped the brilliant 510 radio with the cheap looking 310 and spoilt the centre console as well. Spending an additional £1510 to get back to the 510 radio is absurd. Ok the new GT does come with leather & parking sensors but the c*** radio has spoilt the lovely interior making it cheap and tacky looking. An own goal for the VW Das Auto campaign?
