The Passat B8 is an excellent car, a smart choice.

A spacious cabin and boot, good seats, high standard of build quality and finish, bright headlights, logical and pleasant to use controls make the Passat a comfortable and relaxing car. The DSG box works very well for drivers who drive sensibly, boy racers will prefer the manual. Fuel consumption varies from 35MPG around town to 60 - 70 MPG on long journeys, excellent for a large car. Handling and road holding are good for a comfort focused car, ride is average, quite engine, but road noise could be lower. Having owned new Mercedes, BMW and Audi I believe this is the only car which in two years of ownership has not has any faults, absolutely nothing has failed, not a rattle, not a squeak, a perfect car. The Passat team can be very proud of the build quality, it's a smart choice for people not influenced by 'premium brand and over priced SUV marketing hype.
