You get what you pay for

After 14 years ownership of a BMW 350D, I decided to make a change and selected the new GOLF SV. With an increasing lower-back problem, I find stepping into and driving in the high-seated configuration far more comfortable than the lower-level BMW.
Sitting and driving the GOLF, I get the similar quality-feel of the BMW with ultra-quiet running engine, smooth gear-change, great cock-pit layout, superior boot capacity ( for my golf gear !) and above all, the solid quality of this car, unlike many of the lighter-weight, "tinny", "plasticky" and ( dare I say ) lower-priced competitors'
" You get what you pay for " is never more true than with the GOLF SV
Additional comment November 2017 - In deteriorating road surface conditions I begin to find the ride somewhat irritating over "bumps and blips " ...
