Vauxhall Zafira (2005 - 2014)
CDTi 150 auto
Great
After a succession of new cars over 20 years including Volvo and golfs including Gti's I bought this 58 plate automatic car at 9 moths old in 2009 and have never looked back, unfortunately like many other cars at the time after 12 months the clogged up EGR valve quit and put the car into limp home mode, this was replaced under warranty, it happened again after another 10 months and was again replaced under warranty after which I gave up with supermarket diesel and have used branded fuel ever since, and every three months or so I use 10cc of Archoil AR 6900 a diesel fuel cleaner additive from Power Enhancer, and for the last nine years the car has run like a dream, the Zafira is better in build quality than the VW's, it has enough power so the sport button is never used, the auto box is smooth and it rides well and grips well in the snow, it also swallows my fishing tackle, and that is why I still have it, the only problems are the thick A pillar which restricts the view a little when turning right on a roundabout but you only notice that the first few days and you soon get used to it, and the drivers seat is short of a couple of inches rear movement if you have very long legs, so have your Zafira serviced and look after it, and it will look after you.
Ps, Clarkson said on TV that people who bought Zafiras had to, I disagree, it's been a very good car and still is.
