Nice Car When First Drove
Bought the car in Liverpool drove back to Leeds perfect drive. A couple days later took it back on the motorway to test the sport mode button drove like a demon sprinter..yes anyway I parked it up for a couple days just before Christmas and it got very cold for a few days when I eventually went back to my car I set off got to the bottom of the road was about to turn out onto the road press the gas and the car died and wouldn't start I call r.a.c man and he said the car had a fuel issue and that there was problems with the ecu and that it was dark after having tried the easy spray the car would start then die when the easy spray ran out so it would die instantly really but it did start I know the engine working fine anyway after getting it to a garage the mechanic fitted a new ecu gave it time to adjust as you do calibration...nothing happened turn the key in ignition nothing only when he leaned on the fuse box under bonnet the lights would flicker in the but not the dash it stayed dead nothing on the dash no lights and the radio never flashed up and on but a few days later whilst taking belongings out of the car I thought why not try starting the car it had been like 24 hours since ecu was fitted or was it 48 anyway this time the lights came on the dash and the radio flashed on and the sound from radio came blasting out àny idea I have now been told definitely don't sc*** it and take it and get the electrics sorted...what is the prognosis. Tkan its a vauxhall astra sri sport xp cdti 1.7
