Fun economical and with good active driver aids

I bought this car because I wanted a reasonably priced, "back to basics" economical car.
The Aygo X looks good (in my opinion), is comfortable, fun to drive, and if you don't thrash the engine is quiet and returns over 60 mpg (over 70 on a long run). The back doors are quite small, don't open very wide, and rear legroom is quite limited. I usually drive alone or with one passenger, so that's not a problem.
I like the adaptable cruise control, although when the proximity to a vehicle in front is reached, the car decelerates quite abruptly. The speed sign recognition works well, although occasionally when the main road goes round a bend, the system picks up on a speed limit in a side road.
I've done several 250 mile round trips on a mixture of motorways, dual carriage and single carriageways. Despite the modest engine power, the car is perfectly able to keep up with other traffic. Long inclines might require a change down into 4th, and very steep hills in cities require a low gear and a heavy right foot, but the engine revs eagerly, and the typical 3 cylinder thrum does not sound strained.
Overall I'm pleased with my purchase, and performance and fuel consumption figures are better than I was expecting.
