Toyota Aygo (2014 - 2022)
1.0 VVT-i X-Clusiv 5dr Hatchback
Very x- clusiv
Well what a clever little package this car is. It puts a smile on your face driving it. I can only equate it to that enjoyment you get on a motorcycle. Only riders and drivers of this car will know what I mean. In first and second gear it even has the sound of a large smooth motorbike.Once up the gears it smooths out even more and is nippy on any road. The x- clusive package 5- door is well equipped for a small car. Mine has full leather seats. A great info screen that connects to an i- pod (no cd player) reverse camera , dab radio etc pushbutton start, alloys etc central locking, leccy windows, full aircon.. The car looks good in black, really good and yes it's quirky X grille makes it stand out. Much better than the square looking VW Up which we are told to buy. No thanks.
A lot of car reviewers I have read say the gears are too long in the ratios. Well for my Mrs that's ideal and makes the car a doddle to drive. We had a six speed Yaris and she couldn't get on with that at all. The steering is light, easy to park and fantastic for a city car but if you have to get out on a motorway it'll easy do that too. It's a funky little car that suits couples. It's not a slow car but it's not meant to be a fast hatch either but it feels quick. Buy one of those hot hatches if you like but this is cheap to run with zero tax and good economy. Get a higher spec one like this and you will be grinning.
