Good car with flaws that spoil it

When my trusty Astra died suddenly, I was in need of a car . After doing my research (and reading all the positives about Skoda from the JD Power Surveys) I settled on the Skoda Rapid as I found a good deal. Was not impressed with the dealership who lost all interest me when I didnt want their optional paint treatment and scratch repair. They did not even have the courtesy to call me to say the car was ready. I did all the chasing. Their attitude (and that of Skoda headoffice) has soured my experience somewhat. The car itself has many positives. I like the look of the car and it looks great in the metalic Petrol Blue that I purchased. Its so roomy too. Boot is huge and the rear leg room is like a limosine. Amazing. Its quiet on the motorway and the 1.2 engine is more than powerful enough for everyday use. Why have a huge engine when most mornings/afternoons I am stuck driving slowly in rush out traffic? Economical and I average 46 - 49 mpg (occasionally 55). Good stereo and also plenty of equipement. Now the flaws that spoil it. The ride is unsettled and jittery on all surfaces. Even low speed it seems to leave me bouncing about in the seat. Cost cutting is obvious too. The drivers electric window is one shot down. But not up. No steering wheel audio controls or rear ski hatch (options only). Weak air con and also weak fan output which really surprised me. The plastics on the dorrs flex near the door handle and the door handle itself feels as flimsy as tin foil. I am surprised at the amount of rattles on the car too (it has only done 11500 miles). Seat belt height adjusters rattle and buzz and the doors and windows creak (seems a common issue according to some forums I have been on). Its a shame as the positives - very economical, good looking, spritely and exceptional room are out weighed by the poor, constantly unsettled ride, lack of build quality in some areas, the dealerships poor attitude towards customers and the creaks and buzzes spoil my enjoyment of the car.
