Skoda Fabia Estate (2015 - 2022)
1.2 TSI 110ps SE L 5dr
A great car with very few competitors
I bought the SEL because it has a very high spec, I have had it three months and did some longish trips before the coronavirus. On such a trip its easy to get 50mpg plus in 6th gear, only 2300rpm at 70 mph. The front seats are comfortable but do not have lumbar adjustment even with SEL trim. Even so they are good for a long journey, The power and flexibility of the engine fool you into thinking you are not going at speed until you look at the speedometer. The boot is simply massive, 530 litres with built in storage boxes. I havent ever had to "open it up" , its so good on torque low down that you can drive at 30mph in 5th gear and 4O mph in 6th gear. It has got lots of storage inside and apart from the aforementioned lack of lumbar adjustment it has got everything on a car that I need apart from an opening sunroof. They are really few and far between and I dont worry too much about not having one. Snags? Maybe the tyre wear isnt the best, the previous owner get through a set in under 20000 miles. The Fabia estate is a good used buy in my opinion.
