Skoda Citigo (2012 - 2019)
1.0 Elegance 75 greentech 5 door
The most economical, comfortable and reliable car I've ever had - quite amazing!
I bought my Citigo in September 2012 because I needed to downsize. I took a demonstrator car for a good run and was, and still am, totally surprised with it's capabilities. It's size is very deceiving - small outside but plenty of room inside. 4 adults can be comfortable but usually I'm on my own or with my wife.
With the Elegance trim it has heated seats (which my wife loves), heated door mirrors and I specified the Autonomous braking system. I don't pay Road Tax and I still only pay just about £210 per year for Insurance. The fuel consumption is astonishing. On a drive from Swansea to Maidstone, never exceeding speed limits but keeping up with the flow, the onboard fuel mpg was showing 87.4 mpg at the end of the journey! I took a photo of the display to prove it because I couldn't believe it! My dealer, Beadles of Maidstone, are very good and the service charges are very reasonable. The car has been totally reliable to date and I now have 114, 640 miles on the clock. My first set of tyres lasted 60,000 miles and were renewed when they had 2mm tread left and I had new front discs and pads at 65,000 miles. I am an enthusiastic driver and very rarely see under 70mpg because I believe in driving safely and treating the car carefully - the results are there. Great car!
