SEAT Toledo (2012 - 2018)
1.0 TSI 110ps Xcellence 5dr Hatchback
Underrated family transport
I have had a massive problem with my new Ibiza to the point where it was returned to the dealer, after some negotiation I came away with a new Toledo 1.0 TSI 110ps Xcellence 5dr Hatchback.
Came in the lovely metallic grey paint.
I had the car on test for a day and quite simply made my mind up that day, it is a really underrated comfortable and very well equipped car, performance is peppy, fuel economy around 53 mpg urban, seats 4 adults easily and has the most enormous boot for a car of this size.
Essentially its an oversized VW Polo so reliability should be good.
Sat Nav, cruise, climate, electric windows all round, phone connectivity, 3 x USB sockets (2 in the rear), privacy glass, centre armrests front and rear, alcantara trim, it goes on, all for an OTR price of just under £12,000, they are currently on offer.
Some reviewers say the ride is bumpy or twitchy, mostly journalists, from a real time user / owner its fine, yes you do feel the road occasionally but its no worse than any other car of this style and a good quality surface makes the car glide along.
6 speed manual box, 60 mph in seconds, stated top speed of around 125 which is probably not far off.
I am quite amazed at the quality for the money, its cheaper than some Dacias!
There are some good deals at the moment, even got 2 year servicing for £99.
