Dangerous

All I can say about this car is that it's comfortable in the front two rows, rear two seats are for small adults or children. As for using it to carry larger items, the seats only tumble forward, being disabled I'm unable to remove the seats entirely even if I had the room to store them securely, which I don't, and with them forward there is a very deep step in the floor. The danger with this vehicle is the appalling gear box, In the last three years on several occasions I have close shaves with the loss of power when trying to pull out at junctions and roundabouts. The last instance was when I was on a 50 MPH dual carriageway and pulled out to turn left into the outside lane to bear right onto a right hand slip road to the Sheffield Parkway. The gearbox would not respond and even with my foot to the floor the car would only accelerate up to 25mph. It took nearly a quarter of a mile before full power returned, no wonder I have grey hair. I will NEVER have another Renault and I tell everyone I know (and people I don't) do not touch them with a barge pole if they have any loved ones travelling regularly with them, it's not worth the risk! The MPG is totally garbage, my 2L '08 Galaxy averaged between 38 - 47 mpg, this so called eco model with a 1.5L engine fuel saving tyres, only averages between 35 - 42, can't wait to change it early next year.
