Never buy a Quickshift 5!

I bought this car in 2015, because I'd dislocated my knee and needed an automatic for a few months. What a mistake that turned out to be!

Don't get me wrong, the car is brilliant, but the level of service from Renault was truly shocking!

The car started to judder. To cut a very long story short it has been into Renault multiple times and every time they failed to fix it. One technician at Renault admitted that they haven't been fully trained on these gearboxes and they work on the basis of replacing bits until the problem goes away.

At one point the dealership said I'd been "riding the clutch"; something that's impossible to do in a car that doesn't have a clutch pedal.

Long shot is I have now sold the car on at a massive loss because Renault couldn't fix it. If you are planning on buying a Modus QS5 I'd suggest you don't! If you have ended up with SR10JHJ then check very carefully the entire gearbox/robot has been replaced.
