Renault Laguna Coupe (2009 - 2012)
GT dCi 180 FAP 2dr Coupe
Stunning!
I've wanted one of these ever since buying my Laguna mk3 hatch two years ago and this month I was able to afford to change.
The GT is a peach of a car. It's attractive in a handsome and slightly understated way and it's as rare as hens teeth - do not by this car if you don't want inquisitive looks from other drivers!
The engine is quiet and there's a sporty growl when you put your foot down. It's torquey and relaxed in it's power delivery, so much so that you don't always realize how fast you're going.
The 4Control chassis is excellent and the ride is firm but well-damped. Steering feedback could be slightly better but I'm nitpicking as it's not designed to be an out-and-out racer.
The dash is the same as the Laguna hatch, it's slightly plain looking but everything is well put together. In addition to all the standard kit such as leather seats and CD player, mine has the optional Carminat DVD navigation which is brilliant. It also has the optional Bose stereo (awesome), CD changer and heated seats. It's practical too with a decent boot and folding seats.
In summary, I can't recommend this car highly enough - if you're looking at a 3-series, CLK, Volvo C70 etc.. try one of these; you'll be pleasantly surprised!
