Concept good but execution very poor

On the face of it a roomy hatchback that's a rational alternative to a small estate. Having owned and run one for the best part of a year that statement stands but the execution is poor. Would ditch it tomorrow if depreciation was not so bad.

Build - downmarket and shoddy, lots of cheap creaking plastic and hundreds of rattles. Carpets wore through in 6 months / 3000 miles. Renault have spent the money on pointless gadgets rather than build integrity. Climate Control utterly useless.

Paintwork - very poor, roof has patches where paint has hardly been applied and body colour has lots or orange peel. Dealer not interested in helping.

Engine - very noisy and intrusive but nowhere near as noisy and rattly as the diesel (damning it with faint praise). So little power that you have to rev it into oblivion in a low gear at the slightest sign of a slope.

Seats - downright poor. Rear seat arrangement could be good but ends up looking penny pinching and not really adding to load capacity.

Ride - pitches all over the road, totally unsuited for poor UK roads.
