Range Rover Evoque (2011 - 2019)
SD4 Pure 190 Automatic 5dr SUV
Ok but disappointed
Bought the car new and had it nearly 2 years now.
It was my wife who really chose the car but I was happy to go along with that.
I still think it's a good looking car, and certainly better than the Germans have to offer.
Ride is good, handling not too bad but it's no sports car.
It's my first auto. I specifically waited for the 9 speed Auto to come out. I'm not as impressed with it as the motoring press. I find it laggy to pull away on occasion, especially when you floor it at a junction. Maybe I'm not used to autos to comment and this is normal?
Creaks and rattles continue to be a problem. Had front & rear suspension bushes replaced at 1st service, but it still creaks from the rear over every bump. Possibly the tailgate as this seems to be a known issue, but the dealer just shrugs and tells me that's what you get with the Evoque.
I drove it down to the South of France last year. Annoying wheel wobble above 90mph. The dealer can't test at that speed so won't do anything about it.
The boot is small. Land Rover claim 575 litres, no chance.
I was considering the Disco Sport as a replacement but have already read comments of creaks and rattles...
