Excellent little workhorse

Great little car, just trading it in after 60K. One small sensor fault in 2 years, done under warranty at the excellent MR King Dealership of Saxmundham. Comfy well equipped, air con, air bags stop start tech(which actually works all the time - take note KIA!). The most useful feature for me as a cyclist is the ability to remove the rear seats turning it into a capacious van. Very handy if you move house as we have just done or you have a sport/hobby like mine that involves carting kit about. Have done some long business trips in it and have been surprised at how comfy it was.
Real mpg on my daily commute along the A14, 55mpg in summer and 50-ish in Winter, at 70 mph. Why it drops that sharply in winter is a bit of a mystery to me. Runs best on shell diesel, worst on Tesco.
Bad points, the windscreens, very prone to stone damage. Have had 2 new ones fitted and loads of chips in 2 years. The AA man who repairs them (We are on first name terms now- he has visited so many times!) tells me that they no longer roll the roads after resurfacing them, and just allow the traffic to do the rolling, hence all kinds of loose c**p gets left to fly about. Another Govt cutback that costs you and I money! AA dude also reckons the upright van shape doesn't help. Not really the fault of Peugeot but a bit of a pain.

A tip when the Conti tyres wear out is to replace them with Barum Brilliantis as they look identical to me (I believe Barum make stuff for Conti, but am happy to be corrected if I have this wrong) at 2/3 the price.
The other tip would be to keep the rear sliding door runners clean and well greased as they can get a bit graunchy in winter.
To summarise a great little car, ideal for families and tall dudes (Excellent headroom) and for those who need a van on occasions, the only reason I'm not getting another one is that I cant find one for the right money.
