Nissan Note (2013 - 2016)
1.2 Acenta Premium 5dr Hatchback
A great family "hack"
We bought the Note because it was time to say goodbye to diesel; just before the VW scandal broke, because with more than one driver it was getting difficult to monitor the Skoda DPF cycle. We wanted cruise control and bluetooth, plus a space saver. The first two were standard fit and the space saver £100 dealer fit, all were cost options on the Roomster. The space between the two cars was comparable although the Roomster is more versatile.
Admittedly the 1.2 Note is slow but it's OK, provided you plan moves on motorways, and it can be a bit noisy at first. However, it's cheap to insure, economical at around 49 MPG and quite comfortable. The sliding rear seat was useful when carrying four adults and luggage.
Servicing at the main dealer was fairly priced, with a video of the job in progress sent a day later, a service I've never had before.
It does it's job with no fuss and I really like it. It's not quick, it's not sporty but it's well equipped and does all most owners will need from a small hatchback.
