Overall reliability

Dependable, amazingly economical, rather dull - but suits me perfectly

Yes, the 1.6 petrol engine is lacklustre, but I rarely drive on roads where I can get a move on. Around the suburbs of London I get 38 mpg (as long as I avoid the rush hours), on the M25 (as long as it's flowing) and A roads I regularly exceed 50 mpg, and on a couple of such 50 mile journeys I have exceeded 55 mpg - on a light throttle of course.
Fuel consumption is clearly important to me! There's nothing exciting about this car, but with a chain cam, I'm hoping for many years out of it. The first 3 months suggest that this should be the case. I can't fault it, and a friend is going to buy one on my recommendation (he's driven it).
The only negative is that I'm still waiting for the dealer to provide a parcel shelf - oh, and I will buy a spare wheel/tyre.
