Gearbox lets down otherwise good all rounder.
Mitsubishi UK refuse to acknowledge there is an issue with all gearboxes on 1.8 diesel cars. Gear change from 1st to 2nd is extemely notchy and immpossible to make a quick change meaning you loose all momentum before it allows you to get into 2nd. The Dealers are aware of the issue and seem frustrated that Mitsubishi won't address the problem. I test drove a 1.6 petrol which has a different gearbox to the diesel but found it under powered so went for the Diesel without taking a further test drive - ohh how I now regret it, I would not have purchased the vehicle if I had test driven the diesel.
