Overall reliability

A spacious version of the Mini that has lost none of the marques fun but gains a lot of practicality.

The Clubman provides the space that other Minis lack. The car is wider and feels more spacious. There is also more legroom in the rear seats which remain very comfortable. The split floor boot area provides a space similar to a Golf, and with the rear seats down cab contain a very useful load. For instance I can transport a Gazebo and display boxes for a weekend show with ease.
Performance with the 6-speed automatic box is very good. Perhaps it lacks a little of the sparkle of the 5 door hatch, but this is made up for in the smoothness of the ride. The three driving modes that come with the Chilli pack make a huge difference with the Sport mode providing that nippy feel over the normal mode, whilst the Eco mode is great on motorway cruise for saving fuel.
55mpg is possible on a motorway cruise in eco, but normal motoring gives me 40mpg plus.
This car is fitted with 17" wheels and sports seats as part of the Chilli pack. The electronics fit is very comprehensive and we find it a very comfortable car for long distance driving.
My last 3 cars have been a 1-series BMW, 5 door Mini Cooper Hatch and the Cooper Clubman. of the three I am loving the Clubman.
