Much under-rated
I have never particularly liked the B-Class styling and I am not a committed Mercedes fan, but as a leased company car I had the chance to buy-out the residual after 2 years for a bargain price. Now at almost 5 years old and 80,000 miles, its only faults have been a blocked windscreen jet, and several blown brake light bulbs. It is not particularly fast (but adequate), can return 40mpg, costs little to insure and is serviced by a local workshop, carries 5 people plus luggage in comfort, and with the rear seat cushions removed I recently transported a plate glass panel 58” x 34” (try doing that in an average hatchback). With retirement looming I have considered a smaller car, but can see no need to change this rarely-praised vehicle.
