Mazda CX-3 (2015 - 2019)
2.0 120ps SE 2WD Auto 5dr
A good car let down by a poor ride.
This is an update to my original review published on 1 February 2017. The fact that I still own the car is a testament to it's reliability.
The only significant fault was the discovery of a leaking a/c condenser at the first annual service. As others have commented, this became a widespread problem. A replacement was fitted under warranty and is still working perfectly.
The worst thing about the CX-3 is it's noisy unforgiving ride. Eventually I could stand the Bridgestone tyres no longer and replaced them with Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons which are a marked improvement.
It was frustrating when the facelifted CX-3 was announced with softer suspension and increased sound insulation. Why did Mazda not get the design right first time? Lesson learned. Never buy the first version of any new car. Wait until it's deficiencies have been addressed.
Although over six years old the CX-3 has covered less than 30,000 miles, so I plan to keep it until electric cars become more practical and affordable.
