Quality smaller car

My wife wanted to replace her ten year old Mazda 3 that she had from new. With the excellent reliability that she had from that car, we decided on another Mazda. She decided to purchase a new Mazda 2, and got an excellent deal from Clevedon Mazda.
The new model she purchased is a Mazda 2, 1.5 90PS Sport Nav.
Although her car, I do drive it fairly regularly and make the following observations.
The cabin is modern, smart and has enough room for us.Up front it seems to have nearly as much room as the Mazda 3. The seats are very comfortable, the driving position is excellent and the built in SatNav/ DAB radio is excellent. The car has keyless entry, city brake and lane departure warning as standard. In Sport trim the ride is firmer than her previous Mazda 3, but the handling is great and feels very sure footed even at higher speeds.. The engine is a cracker, that pulls well and revs cleanly up to 60-70mph. The short throw gear lever is excellent, although only five speed (6 speed is on the 115PS version). The alloy wheels are very smart and seem to be better quality than some previous Mazda alloys. The only negative thing I could think of, is that it could be a little quieter at speed with some slight tyre roar but it is not too intrusive.
We have had the car for six months now and have had no squeeks, rattles or any problems. So far it has covered 5000 miles and averaged 52mpg, which I expect to increase as the engine beds in. All in all, it is and excellent small car. It is better in almost every way than the other similar sized cars we test drove. Although more expensive than some competitor cars,we think that you get what you pay for and hopefully it will be just as reliable as the previous Mazdas we have owned..

UPDATE. Car is now 2 years old and has covered 20,000 miles. No faults, no problems. Averaged 53mpg since new. Tyre tread depth still fine.Think the fronts will do 30,000 miles. 2nd year big service £350( Mazda Swindon) Still very pleased with the car.
