Kia Soul (2014 - 2019)
Connect 1.6 CRDi 126 5dr
Not bad. Good spec for money.
Pros:
Love the precise steering. Handles better than my previous Nissan Note. Especially at motorway speeds. Great around town to drive. Better steering turning lock than previous car. Lots of spec for the money.
Cons:
Lousy mpg. I know it’s not the most accurate but the best ave mpg I’ve had on the dashboard read out is 39.1 mpg.
No consideration given to passenger. Seat doesn’t adjust for height etc like drivers side does. No way my (wife) can central lock doors if she stays in car, in car park, while I do an errand. (Unless we swap seats). The Nissan had a button in the centre that could be pressed to lock all doors. Central locking is on drivers door. Wife finds the passenger seat very uncomfortable and gives her back ache. At present we have sponge wedge on seat and lumber support pad on rear back of seat. This elleviates it somewhat but near not enough.
Having three years warranty left; paid gap insurance and two next services; I will keep the car for that period.
In conclusion; would I buy another Kia motor car? No, I definitely won’t.
