Kia Rio (2011 - 2017)
1.4 isg 3 manual
A reliable cheap to run fully loaded car
I bought my Kia Rio 1.4 isg 3 back in February 2018 to replace my old focus diesel which was past its sell buy date as I did not need a diesel anymore as I don,t do the miles now so this car fitted the bill.
I originally was looking for a Hyundai i 20 as my daughter has one and apart from servicing which I do for her nothing has gone wrong and at well over 100,000 miles and still going strong ,as the i 20 and Rio are basically the same car but the Rio has a better spec ,especially in 3 trim, It gets me to work and back rain or shine it averages 45 mpg on my short trips but on longer runs can go up to 54 mpg.As for driving it it is pleasant but your not going to win races in it although on the motorway it cruises along well with the 6 speed box and cruise control .
I would certainly buy another Kia probably when the wife needs to replace her reliable Hyundai I30 may be a Pro Ceed 1.6TGDI ??
