Great looks but not so great when it comes to driving.

I just love this car but there are some annoying things that go along with it. Fuel economy is ok, I mean if you drive like a granny (no offences here), which is totally the opposite of the car's concept. I have the 1.6 petrol engine. Once you turn the A/C on the car loses power almost immediately. Too much road noise at speeds above 70mph. I think that this due to not having enough insulating material. Another thing is vibration coming from the engine or the exhaust, don't know for sure yet. The car has about 40k miles and this thing just started, the vibrations I mean. Went to the dealer and was told it is normal. What??? At this mileage? No further comments by the dealer. Had my faulty radio replaced.

Now here's the real bonus. Seats have absolutely no back support. I have to struggle to stay in it. I drove a VW Golf VI last week and it was a world of difference. Suspension? Like it's not there. I can feel every single bump and stone chips on the road. And the car's wings act like amplifiers to the sound. The plastic in the front rattles a lot and all sorts of noises coming from that part. Also, sometimes I think the front end feels like it's going to fall apart. It is just so ridiculous. It's like someone is banging with a hammer on the undercarriage of the car. I can feel every knock on my steering wheel. Went to the dealer said everything is in place. I hate to write these things but it's just what I experience every time and I love this car so much.

I have to go the dealer like every month or so to have mu clutch lubed up cause after it gets dry it makes this chirping noise, like crickets.
So, other than that the car is pretty reliable so far. Disappointed by the gearbox though. Could've been a 6 speed instead of 5. I mean smaller engines can go up to higher speeds on other manufacturers, but not this one. Nasty first and reverse gear. When it's cold I get it into reverse gear "only" after the 3rd or 4th try.

It might be a great car when you look at it or see someone driving it, but when you go inside it's different story. For someone who drives the car only once or twice a week it's OK, but if you drive it on a regular basis I wouldn't recommend it. I get back pain all the time from the seats when driving it longer than an hour and a half.
