Kia EV6 (2021 on)

Amazing long-distance cruiser that will surprise many sports cars
We have had the car now for almost 2 months, and have done some 2,500 miles in that time. It has delighted us with its range and comfort on long journeys. Many EVs fail to reach their claimed ranges, yet we get close to its nominal 318-mile range on long journeys. Around town, it's even better. And the speed of charging on the high-speed chargers is truly welcome - on a day-trip to Norwich from Yorkshire, the car was charged before we'd got our coffee from the (admittedly glacially slow) Costa coffee in the charging hub.
It had 3 driving modes: Sport, Normal and ECO. The first is a bit frenetic, and only really suitable if you're really pushing on. We use ECO on long trips which seems to help with the range. But most of the time we just leave it in Normal, which means you're able to waft when needed or leave sports cars in your wake if you want.
It has a series of driving aids which you can turn off if you want. The one we use all the time is the automatic regeneration which allows you to coast when you want, but then regenerates harder if you're closing in on a vehicle or on a hill. There's even the option for true one-pedal driving
The only niggle we've found so far is that the built-in satnav continually tells you to "keep right" to avoid going into laybys. A "first-world problem", and we can always use a phone's satnav via CarPlay
