Kia Carens (2013 - 2018)
1.7 CRDi 114 ISG 5dr MPV
Flipping decent car
My wife and I have own 3 Kia's since 2011. Firstly a Rio 1 the a Ceed 3 CRDI now the Carens.
We bought it to accommodate 3 under 5s and us and my 2 older step daughters on family days out and as my daily drive. Comfortable drive If driven sensibly, great MPG. Took it down to Devon last summer driving from Peterborough with 3 adults and 3 kids fully laden, with a 72 Litre Thule top box averaging 55MPG Normally on a run @ 70MPH I get 59MPG around town 44 -49 MPG.
If I were to buy one again i'd opt for rear sensors or parking camera, however the Air con is great even for those in boot using the extra seats. In car entertainment is great speakers sound great.
I pay monthly for the servicing which is handy, flew through its first MOT.
A couple of niggly returns such as I had to have the Alloys refurbed at 21K and a new set of wipers at 45k 1 fuel filter 2 pollen filters (Which are not covered by the servicing plan annoyingly.( and a new head lamp and turning lower lamp replacement and a rear seat assembly and mechanism (All warranty jobs). However the car was own by Europa Car who a prone to botching repairs. My Dealer Drayton Motors (Kia) are fantastic and friendly and go the extra mile. Now the elder two kids have moved out we enjoy a car with loads of rear leg room and a large boot.
