Happy and impressed - so far

Moved on from four years with a treasured workhorse Hyundai Terracan which I sometimes get nostalgic twinge for.
Anyway, fingers-crossed happy with this Santa Fe which has the extra bells and whistles and looks a bit more dashing. Only paid £13,000 for it as it had high (95,500) mileage and with five year warranty still to run till next summer. No hiccups so far and generally pleased with it. Ride is a bit lumpy and it doesn't sip diesel. Consumption slightly worse than Hyundai boast it has. Will probably drive it till I conk out or the car seriously does. Nice to have seven seats when Italian relatives came over this year and I took them all sightseeing. Also, very handy to carry huge mountains of bagged up clothes to jumble sales I help at for a dog rescue charity. Hyundai dealership,(Platts, High Wycombe),seem reassuringly good for servicing. Helpful and efficient.
Till retirement I was motoring journalist and sampled umpteen cheapies and costly beasts. Hyundais usually impressed and only matched maybe by Kias. All seem well screwed together and outdo Land Rovers with their regular squeaks, rattles, rolls, leaks, breakdowns, burps and strange things.
