Hyundai i20 (2009 - 2015)
1.4 Comfort 5dr Hatchback
Hyundai Rust Bucket - many produced and should all be re-called !!!
I fully researched which car I wanted to buy new and this was it , all singing , all dancing . It had loads of extras, alloy wheels , air con etc, seemed well worth the money and with a 5 years warranty and a 10 yr anti -corrosion policy I felt I had a very good deal and would be covered for all eventualities. I was very happy with this car, the way it drove, was comfortable and reliable for nearly 6 months until rust began to appear around the lower back window and paint chipped off around the door handles. The car was repaired , but the rust came back again. And again. And again. Hyundai will only agree to repair the car, and it's been difficult getting that far. Hyundai have tried to void the warranty(what is the point of a warranty if they can void it?) and all in all couldn't give a flying flip . If I am out shopping and I see another i20 I look at it , I have looked at so many and they all have the same inherent rust problem . These cars should be re- called , they are sub - standard. This is not the car I greed to buy. Yet I cannot progress any further with Hyundai, I really am confronted by a brick wall !!!
